Fall 2026 | Celebrating Difference: IFS, Ableism, and the Unburdening of Normal

How do we heal wounds that we don’t know we have? This program explores how Ableism and ideas about what is normal have shaped not only our wider societies but also our internal systems, creating protective strategies and burdens we may never have recognized. 

Utilizing the power of the IFS model we can begin to see how our parts have adapted to experiences of marginalization living in a culture shaped by systemic Ableism, and how internalized oppressive beliefs block our authentic expression and limit access to our Self-energy. As we learn to identify internalized ableist beliefs within ourselves, in those around us and in our clients, we can increasingly challenge normative assumptions that appear in our lives and in our therapeutic spaces. 

Once released from the constraints of normality, our vital energy is no longer shackled to the impossible performance of proving our humanity, and we are freed to become the Self-led beings that we are. This program offers an invitation to strengthen our capacity to hold difference with curiosity and compassion, to courageously co-create our unique ways of being, and to challenge and change the world around us. 

An IFSI Certificate of Completion will be available upon completion of this program. Your completion status will be tracked automatically as you progress through the program modules. Upon completion of this program, you will be able to download a Certificate that acknowledges you have received 14 IFS Credits for completing this program.

You can also earn up to 14 Continuing Education (CE) credits through our partner AMEDCO. Professional CE will be available for an additional purchase of $47 at the completion of the program.
