Fall 2023 | Legacy & Cultural Burdens

Ann Sinko and Dick Schwartz

Legacy and cultural burdens are ubiquitous; we all have legacy burdens that have been passed down the generational line and have absorbed burdens from the culture we grew up in. Understanding and having the tools and skill to work with the impact of unresolved generational trauma and protector driven systems (both internally and externally) is needed in therapy.

This program will help the IFS therapist understand the dynamics that create legacy burdens and the patterns that support the multigenerational transmission process. An IFS protocol will be taught for unburdening legacy and cultural burdens as well as honing the therapists’ legacy burden detector.

The program features teaching videos, experiential exercises, demonstrations, and monthly live Q&A events.

To earn an IFSI Certificate of Completion, you must select “Mark Complete” on each lesson page.  You will then receive a Certificate that acknowledges you have received 14 IFS Credits for completing this program.
